This is by the way one main principle of “volumetrics”, where is has been proven that people consume less calories when they eat food preparations of low calorie density. Meaning, eating two carrots and an apple does not feel like much, but grate the carrots and the apple and you will have a full plate! The same applies to soups versus their ingredients themselves.

Cabbage soup diet: best recipe with magic component

For the soup you can take almost any vegetable that you like, avoid however starchy vegetables like potatoes and pumpkin.

But what makes this the best cabbage soup recipe is to also add some fat burning spices. For example is chilli pepper said to be able to raise your metabolism, so you will burn more calories. Also add some ginger, garlic and lemon juice for detox properties, which further accelerates your weight loss.

And here comes a magic component:

Fenugreek seeds! In some cultures it is believed that fenugreek tea can help you lose weight, some people have even reported having lost 3-4 pounds in 2 weeks from that tea alone. 2 spring onions, 2 yellow peppers, 7 baby zucchini, 3 carrots, half a head of cabbage, 3 stalks celery, 1-2 cans of tomatoes, vegetable stock, fresh ginger, fresh garlic, fresh chilli peppers, salt, pepper

Chop the above ingredients, add water and cook for about 20 mins. In the meantime soak 3 tbsp of fenugreek seeds in hot water and add later the tea to the soup. Squeeze one lemon and also add the juice. Have as much as you like!

Once you have quickly lost some pounds with the cabbage soup diet, please make sure that you do not go back to eating chocolate cake. Maintaining your weight after a diet can sometimes even be the harder challenge, especially if you have lost weight fast. It is crucial to adjust your daily eating habits.
